1. How long have you been blogging? I entered the blogging world in 2009 and I had my first client that Spring. I was also in school at the time and had my son so it was pretty tough to juggle all of it.
2. What is your design style? My personal design style is bold transitional. I like lots of color and pattern but I also like things clean and simple.
3. Top 3 go-to design shops to purchase items or get inspired. World Market is constantly coming up with amazing furniture for an incredible deal. I love Target for on trend items. West Elm is closest to my style with their furniture. I want all of their chairs and sofas in my house!
4. One item you think every home should have? I think every home needs some show-stoppers. I like to see things that I’ve never seen before. Maybe that’s an antique, a custom piece or a really one-of-a-kind piece.
5. What is your “mommy motto” for keeping balance in your life while working and raising kids? Do the best you can and don’t feel guilty about the rest. It is really impossible for me to please everyone. I like to focus on my family, friends and church and if I feel good about where I’m at with those relationships then I feel good about life!
