3 Things On My Mind…

1. A reader Abby asked about my tanning ritual. It’s kinda of intense, just warning you. I start by shaving my legs and then exfoliating with a coconut sugar I buy at Sprouts(any brand will do). I get out of the shower and towel dry. While my skin is still damp I apply coconut oil moisturizer from Trader Joe’s t0 my elbows, hands, knees, and feet. Anywhere that tends to grab color easily. Let it absorb for 10-20 mins. Now for the actual tanner.. I alternate between this spray (which I love for my face) and this foam tanner. Both I apply with this mitt. YOU NEED THIS MITT. Game changer. I apply in long strokes all over my body starting with my legs and working my way up. After you’ve applied it to your whole body turn the mitt over to the dry side and start buffing in the product to avoid streaks and blotches. Sounds long. But the actual process of applying the tanner takes me maybe 3-5 mins. It goes fast. I do this once a week.

2. Tomorrow is my girls last day of school!! I’m so excited. I love having them home. Let’s be honest, what I really love is sleeping in and no homework.

3. You guys, there is this body builder chick at the gym. I think she wants to fight me. But really. It all started a few weeks back, I saw her doing the fly machine in way I hadn’t thought of. So when she was done, I tried it. Well..I guess she thinks she has a patent on the move because I caught her staring at me from the stair master and since that day she walks past me as close as humanly possible to where our shoulders touch and yesterday she growled at me. No lie. I try not to laugh because here I am this mom of three with some 20 year old she-man growling at me.

ps..my Sultra curl stick died on me after 3 years. Jenna posted here about the T3, I was intrigued and got one. The tapered iron is what I used here to curl my hair. Give it a try if you’re in the market for a new stick!
