Cheering on Team USA from the States!

Sometimes life moves really fast, and I appreciate the sweet moments in life with my family. One of my favorite things to do when I was a kid, was to sit around the fire with my parents and make as many S’mores as I could. Now that I’m the mom, I still enjoy bringing this sweet moment into my kids’ lives.  There is something so very American about sitting around with family and making S’mores.

Another one of my favorite summer things (at least this year) is the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. I am so excited to cheer on Team USA during this year’s competitions. This is something we look forward to watching as a family. We get extremely invested in cheering on all of the athletes from Team USA. This year we teamed up with HERSHEY’S to create something meaningful and fun in support of all of the athletes while they’re on their Olympic journey in Rio.

On August 10, National S’mores Day, HERSHEY’S is taking the fun, light-hearted experience of making S’mores and inviting the world to join in the Olympic Movement by creating a meaningful, shared moment of connection with Team USA, by sending the athletes ‘hello’s’ from home with family and friends.

We will be sending ‘hello’s’ and messages of support to cheer on Team USA. I printed out these HERSHEY’S Team USA-themed wrappers to wrap around the milk chocolate bars, and my daughters wrote cute messages of support on them (they also love to color, so doodled some cute hearts) that they want to send to Simone Biles, as she has truly served as a role model for young children through the pursuit of her Olympic dream.
