Post Holiday Work Out tips

Danielle Pascente is back with holiday work out tips. It’s really hard to find time to hit the gym during winter break. Parties, family time, and entertaining take up most of my time. I like Danielle’s advice on staying fit while still indulging a little bit. Taking even 10 minutes to recharge your body is so important during the holidays. I just read an article that said the average person gains between 7-10 pounds during the holidays. Danielle is here to help us stay fit and healthy.

Danielle is launching a 30 day fat burn workout series in January on Lionsgate, Be Fit” Youtube channel so if you want to subscribe to that channel it is completely free and the workouts are awesome.  She just wrapped up the year working for some really awesome companies! Danielle was on last months cover of Competitor magazine. Stop by Danielle’s website for an update and to see more of her workouts and tips. www.daniellepascente.com or follow her on Instagram @DaniellePascente

My top 3 holiday tips and workouts during and after the holidays.
1) HYDRATE: Always remember to drink water throughout the holidays.  Staying hydrated will be key to flushing unwanted toxins out of the body and recharging your system.  You should aim to drink anywhere between 3-4.5 Liters of water a day!  Add a squeeze of fresh lemon for an extra metabolism boost!
2) DON’T STARVE YOURSELF: Instead of holding out for the holiday parties at night and putting your body into starvation mode until 7 or 8 PM…..fuel your body throughout the day.  If you mentally prep to indulge….you will INDULGE!  You want to trick your brain into thinking this is another normal day and another party.  Make sure you are fueling your body throughout the day getting started with breakfast, and continuing to eat small portions all day.  There is nothing worse then going to a party TOTALLY starved because you will pig out in this case.  If you are hungry at 4-5 PM before heading out, grab a quick snack (apple, protein bar, nut/trail mix, water).  These will keep you feeling full and less likely to totally go overboard.
3) MAKE TIME TO WORKOUT: I know time is limited during the holidays but just move your body.  Even if you only have time for a 10 minute high intensity workout…..drop everything and just make it happen.  All you need is 10 minutes of sweat to crank that metabolism.  Walking around, shopping, and socializing are all great perks to the holidays because you are MOVING constantly.  Add that extra 10-20 of sweat…and you are GOLDEN!

xx,

Jenna
