How to dress for a wedding

1. The GOLDEN rule —Do Not Compete with the bride. It’s her day to shine. Don’t show up in white and do not wear a prom dress. You will look like you are trying way too hard. If you need something a little more formal than the dress I’m wearing above, this lace dress in blush is gorgeous!

2. It’s not appropriate to flaunt your figure at a wedding. Stay on the more conservative side when planning your outfits.

3. Use the invitation to your advantage. Pick a dress that goes with the location of the wedding. You can dress specifically for a beach wedding or destination wedding.

4. Personally, I would never show up in a black dress to a wedding.  I think you should save your LBD for a night out or a funeral and find something with a little color.

5.  Wedding attire can be super frustrating to shop for. But, try everything on! A couple of my favorite dresses looked awful on the hanger in the store. If you even kind of like it then try it on.
