hot & cold with KEURIG

When you hear the brand Keurig you often think of coffee, right? So did we. Neither of us are coffee drinkers and we were so excited to find out Keurig makes a wide variety of drink options for adults and kids! Our kids were so excited to help chose the color of the machine: Colbalt Blue for Jenna and the Pantone color of the year,Radiant Orchid for Lisa. We both chose a mini machine, making it the perfect size to keep in the pantry and pull out for a hot cocoa night or after school lemonade with friends. We’re big fans of the Keurig mini!

HOT

We made a fun hot cocoa bar  with our family for back to school night this week. The kids loved  watching  the  Keurig machine make the  hot chocolate in under 2 minutes! We  added  caramels, marshmallows, Andes mints, etc to their cocoa. I used  brown Kraft paper as the table runner for the kids to color on  and  for labeling the treats. Really fun and super easy! Now that it’s fall in NY we will be using this all the time. Keurig mixes are found in most grocery stores. I found my Keurig  swiss miss cocoa and hot apple cider containers at Target. They are called K-CUP Packs and come in so many drinks and flavors. We are  so happy to have this in our home now!

COLD

We used the lemonade pods and added fresh raspberries to the bottom with a squeezed lime on top. The kids thought it was SO cool to watch the lemonade be made in under 2 mins! The Keurig mini makes the perfect wedding, shower or birthday gift. I mean one year Poppy asked for a toaster for Christmas, so I won’t be surprised if she asks for her own mini this year!
