MIAMI

We got home from Miami yesterday afternoon. It was a quick trip packed with so much fun. I LOVED being away with Dennis for TWO days sans kids. We haven’t taken a trip together by ourselves for over a year. Dennis works long hours in NYC and it’s nice to take a break from life and catch up on having fun! ShopStyle did that exactly!! They gave us an itinerary packed with once in a lifetime experiences. We got to go to the El Clasico soccer game and they spoiled us with amazing seats. To be honest I didn’t know that much about soccer until this past year. My seven year old (Gwen) is obsessed with soccer. She watches it and dedicated her entire summer to playing and learning as much as she can to improve. I’m so impressed with her dedication. When we found out we got to see this once in a lifetime soccer event with Barcelona vs. Real Madrid, we jumped at the chance.

When we arrived at the Miami Edition Hotel, we headed right to the beach. Everything was so beautiful. The ocean water was the prettiest shade of turquoise and felt like bath water. We took a couple naps and soaked up all the vitamin D we could. I’m still dreaming of those white sand beaches. If you plan a trip to Miami, the Edition Hotel is the place to stay. The pools are beyond gorgeous and the restaurants are theeee best. The winner from TOP CHEF (Jeremy Ford) runs the restaurant in this hotel. It’s excellent. Not to mention the bowling alley and ice skating rink open all day and night. The room service was just as good as the hotel restaurants. This is the one thing I love to indulge on when vacationing. I love room service and staying cuddled up in bed.

I never know what to pack when I go to Miami. I honestly wore a swimsuit all day and changed out my dresses throughout the day. The first evening in Miami I wore this NEUTRAL LOOK. The ShopStyle team surprised us with our own personal jerseys to wear to the El Clasico Soccer game. I knew instantly that Gwen (my 7 year old) would steal it from me when I got home. She is obsessed with soccer. Go TEAM CRANDALL 🙂
