1. How did you become the queen of Pinterest! You have millions of followers! – It’s what I like to call a little bit of luck and then taking ahold of an opportunity and running with it!! I was an early adaptor on Pinterest. I was on it when you needed to wait on a waiting list for an invitation! Pinterest starting highlighting my boards and it took off from there!
2. How do you decide what items to pin? Honestly, I just pin stuff I love! Some things are items that I want to buy, some are things I wish I could fit in to and some are- pie in the sky wish list items! I also love to pin projects and recipes that I think I can actually pull off – and if I can do them… anyone can!
3. What is your favorite beauty item? That’s a tough one… I am a total product junkie. Right now I am loving the Rodan & Fields AMP MD roller for my skin and Living Proof Satin Hair Serum. My long standing fave is my M.A.C. Paint pot in Frozen Violet – I use it every day!!
4. Where is your favorite place to shop? Do you do most of your shopping online because of your business? For clothes… hands down Nordstrom! {I am also a slave to Target!}. I do A LOT of shopping on line. Partly because of my business, but also because I have 3 boys who are constantly on the go and I can shop anytime online with the hassles of the mall!! BUT, there is nothing like wandering around the mall and touching and feeling all of those wonderful items in person!!!
5. What is your guilty pleasure? Do you bake treats? Bad reality TV {she hangs her head in shame} Yummy treats.
6. What has surprised you most about being a working mom? I guess it was that as the kids get older, they actually need you more. I always thought as they got older, the balancing act would be easier, but it seems to get crazier and crazier with my boys hectic schedules.
7. Do you have a life motto or mommy motto you live by? Say it with conviction and confidence! That goes for parenting, business, etc. Say it like you mean it (even if you may not be 100% sure if you are right!)
8. What is your favorite category to PIN on pinterest? Oh my gosh – that’s not a fair question – I LOVE pinning fashion and products – but I am obsessed with fun holiday ideas and life hacks! Can I pick 3?
9. What has been your biggest accomplishment in your life – Aside from my wonderful family – Taking the leap of faith and leaving my job of 17 years in non profit to start my own business.
10. What’s your favorite meal to cook your family? Carry out (can that count?)
