Find your face shape and learn to Contour & Highlight your face HERE
It’s Summer Beauty 101 on the blog today. To keep your make-up looking fresh and pretty all day long here are a few steps I follow during the summer.
*Use Halo Extensions to stay cool all summer.
You can put these in and out. Don’t wear heavy hair extensions during the summer at the beach. Take them out and then put them back in at night when you go out! It’s genius. The hair is beyond gorgeous. I’m so happy that I found them. You can keep this hair for up to a year if you take good care of it.
*Wear an oil free moisturizer
Before you apply your make-up always use oil free products. What you put on your skin is just as important as the make-up you apply. You don’t want anything melting off your face in the heat.
*Bronze where the sun hits you
This will make you feel like a sun goddess without damaging your skin. Apply this Baked bronzer frosting in Honey Glow to places on your face that are naturally hit by the sun. Your teeth will look whiter and you will glow!
*Ditch powder blushes and eyeshadows
This will give you longevity and will decrease chances of your make-up caking. Use cream blush & these super amazing creamy eye shadows. I use bone and ballet pink. My favorite!
*Use lipstains and glosses
Get rid of your matte lipstick. You want to create dewy and fresh looks this summer. Get a few LIPSTAINS for all day lasting color and put a gloss over it. It’s so pretty.
*Invest in an amazing waterproof mascara
Don’t be caught with raccoon eyes in the pool or on a really hot day. You can keep your mascara in place with a really great water proof mascara.
*Use an eye brightener or primer
Sometimes this is all I wear with my mascara. Your eyes will look bright and beautiful. It also lasts all day long. I use this one Lisa sent me for my birthday this year. it’s amazing! Stroke of Light by Bare Minerals
*Carry Prep Items
You can be prepared for anything this summer. Keep the essentials close by you so you can freshen up when needed. Use these blotting papers to get rid of sweat or shine. They are a huge lifesaver.
I also NEVER tan my face (I’d wear a mask outside if I could) so I turn into the bronzing queen and I use this Laura Geller bronzing powder everyday and everywhere. It’s incredible. Happy Wednesday!

It seems like lately my mascara melts and smudges under my lower lashes by the end of the day. Do you think it’s because I don’t use a waterproof formula? What eye makeup remover do you use?
Thanks,
