About 3 years ago Lisa and I hit up a little place in Los Angeles called The Dry Bar. At the time it was the only one. That day I hinted to the owner that she needed to expand and in particular to Orange County. Of course because her idea was genius but, also because the thought of having one close by was perfect for someone like me who isn’t very hair savvy. She explained how that was her vision & goal and was already making plans. Just a few years later, there are already 28 other locations around the United States! Who doesn’t love a wash and blow out for $35? I think it’s safe to say every woman does.
Over the weekend we were lucky enough to all be together. We started off our weekend right by getting our hair freshly blown out. The ambiance in these dry bars is elegant, clean and trendy. We love their blow dryer chandeliers! Super creative.
The Dry Bar recently came out with their own hair care line. These are a few of our favorites that are must tries…
I can honestly say there is no where I would rather eat than True Food Kitchen. There was a time my husband and I would go every friday night. The food is beyond yummy and I love the way it makes me feel after I eat. If you aren’t familiar with this restaurant it’s based off of Dr. Andrew Weil’s anti-inflammatory diet. Lots of fresh foods full of vitamins with lots of flavor.
I always get the vegetable crudite to start off with. The homemade olive dip will knock your socks off. It’s so delicious. I love a good green drink and their kale aid is so refreshing. Other menu items we love include the spaghetti squash casserole, shaved turkey sandwich and tuna sliders.
True Food now has a cook book that includes over 125 original recipes! You can order it here. A perfect gift with Mother’s Day just around the corner.
A huge thank you to The Dry Bar & True Food Kitchen! We are huge fans!
