Trader Joe's

I have been a Trader Joe’s shopper for 10 years.  It’s been fun to see the company grow and to see the expansion of new products. It’s the only place I shop for groceries.  I appreciate their high quality food at reasonable prices.  I think I’ve tried almost everything at the store and after lots of taste testing these are some of my favorite TJ’s products!

1. Roasted coconut chips~ My kids love these for a snack. Also great mixed in with trail mix.
2. Sweet Corn Tamales~ These are an easy go to lunch or dinner. Trust me when I tell you that you will LOVE these.  They taste similar to El Torito’s sweet tamale cakes.
3. Super spinach salad~ Packed full of vitamins and nutrients and also tastes good.  I love the dressing that comes with this.
4. Simply almond, cashew & chocolate trek mix~ I keep these in my purse and everyone in my family loves them!  The chunks of chocolate with bites of nuts is a killer combo!
5. Cookie Butter~  They have a shortage of this from time to time and I know why.  It is incredible!  My kids love this on toast, I love to dip my apples in it and my husband eats it by the spoonful plain.
6. Pita Chips with cinnamon & sugar~ Hands down my favorite product at TJ’s.  I can and have eaten a whole bag in one sitting.
7. Danish Pancakes~ These are a delicious breakfast.  We bake them and roll half in powdered sugar and half in cinnamon and sugar.
8. Frozen Mac & Cheese~ This is the best mac and cheese you will ever put in your mouth.  It has four cheeses and you can taste every one of them.
9. Hold the cone~ A perfect little treat to cure your sweet cravings.  They have less than 100 calories.
10. Black bean & cheese burrito~ I eat these for lunch at least once a week.  They are really great!
11. Broccoli slaw & kale salad with white chicken~ My husband and I fight over this salad.  It’s a newer salad at Traders and they nailed combining all of these ingredients for the perfect flavor.
12. Kettle Corn~ One of the best around.  Great combo of salty and sweet.  And I sometimes just buy it for the packaging because it’s so fun!
13. Garlic & Herb pizza dough~ Buy their pizza sauce in the fridge section and top with mozzarella cheese and you will be in heaven.  Easy 10 minute dinner.
14. Highbrow chocolate chip cookies~ Thin and crispy and crunchy and light. Yummy!
15. Organic probiotic smoothies~ These are so easy in the mornings for my kid’s breakfast.  They are also a healthy on the go snack.  Super easy!
16. Caramel Sauce~ Add this to vanilla ice cream and you can thank me later 🙂

What are your favorite Trader Joe’s items?

xoxo

  1. OMG I am so excited we are FINALLY getting our first Trader Joes in Tampa!! This post is great I bookmarked it for once they open…or if I decide to drive an hour and a half to the closest one! (It might be worth it) 🙂

    Xo,
    Christina

  2. Dark chocolate sea salt covered almonds and their “just mangos” are out favorites. Oh! And their pear sauce is SO yummy!

  4. Have you tried their yogurt covered (cookie) stars? They are HIGHLY addictive! I buy them for my daughter, but I can’t keep my hands out of the bag!!!!!

  5. I am addicted to the dark chocolate almonds. I also love their tomato basil marinara, the deli-sliced peppered turkey, all their frozen fruit for smoothies, the raspberry and cream bars, their corn tortillas are the best in town, the frozen white corn and my kids love the orange chicken. I also love their face wash and conditioner. Excited to try some of these suggestions!!

  6. Their frozen chicken gyozas with sweet chili sauce! Easy to make, and easy to fly through the entire bag. I also love the Pirate Booty Popcorn and the Kettle Corn, and of course, Charles Shaw wine!

  7. Chocolate Covered Sea Salt Butterscotch Caramels and their Chocolate Hazelnut Cookies are so good. They stopped carrying the Highbrow Cookies, those were my fave too. 🙁

  8. I love TJ’S frozen lasagna! My toddlers do not like lasagna and I got tired of making a huge pan of it for my husband and I and then so much of it goes to waste even after having leftovers. Their lasagna is the perfect size for 2 people and delicious! Also the frozen turkey bolognese is a must have staple in your freezer for those when you absolutely do not feel like cooking. Again perfect size for 2 people, takes 3-4 minutes to warm up, and you just have to boil noodles to serve it over. My kids just like butter on their noodles and the hubs and I get to enjoy the sauce for ourselves. Yum!

  9. Oh my! I’ll have to try some of these!! My favorite is the Mac n cheese, but have you tried their dark chocolate covered caramels? The best!!
