vacation essentials

The beach, staying outside till it’s dark, picnics, and trips to the lake are all nostalgic of summer time!
I’m always looking for new ways to stay cool, protected, and entertained and I think I’ve found a pretty great mix of vacation essentials all of us should consider!

1. This towel is rad! I’m always trying to find places to store my phone, keys, cash, etc so it doesn’t get wet or sandy. This towel has just the right amount of pockets to store all my essentials.
2. I’ve mentioned this speaker before on L&L, but it’s really that great. So portable and the quality of sound will shock you. Promise.
3. I love a bag that says exactly what’s inside. This bag is enormous! Literally will store all your random crap and possible a child or two.
4. If you’re headed somewhere a little more classy than maybe this tote would be a better option. I like the size of this as a transition bag from the beach to dinner!
5. Oh man, this I WANT! I’m all about sun exposure in small doses. This canopy is amazing for adults and kids!
6. My favorite sunblock. Period.
7. This tip has been a life saver to me. I used to dread when my girls would come up to me wanting to eat but their hands are covered in wet sand. Take baby powder, coat hands, rub together and they will be magically dry and clean.
8. I’m a huge fan of using my phone for all pictures. Having a water proof cover like this would be the ultimate addition for my phone.
9. Love Aviator Nation! Everything about them. Including this hat.

Happy vacationing!

  1. i love the baby powder tip!!!! so great. Also, what are your fav orange county beaches? we’re headed there this weekend from AZ and I would love your tips…. we usually just go to balboa or huntington but i hate how crowded they can be. And, I’d love to be able to park kind of close to the beach.

    • Hey Kristin! Crystal Cove is a great one and not crowded. Salt Creek, Coronoa Del Mar are also great. Have fun!
