weelicious + giveaway

I became a fan of Weelicious and author, Catherine about a year ago when I was looking for ways to make my girls lunches more fun. Weelicious is a site that is beautifully done with a layout that is simple to navigate. The ideas are easy to follow and the food tastes delicious!  I especially love how she creates a bento box lunch as well as her heirloom tomato pico{it’s amazing, click here}.
From baby food, to toddler meals, school lunches and family dinner, Weelicious has become my go-to! Easy, fresh fun food always wins at my house!

Background: Louisville, KY. Kentucky Country Day School and Institute of Culinary Education in NYC.

Husband: Name and profession or description or a funny fact: Jon Gordon. Film Producer.

Children: Kenya, 7 and Chloe, 5.
Tell us about Weelicious: I have always loved food and knew I wanted to raise my kids to love food, as well. When I had my son, Kenya, I had no idea how to feed this tiny little human! I scoured the internet and got no help. So I started making his baby food, and introducing him to lots of flavors and textures. My friends started coming to ME for help, so I decided to put his baby food recipes online, and Weelicious was born!

Who has been your greatest mentor along the way? My grandparent love of fresh food. My parents mix of love and passion for work.

  1. It’s so nice to see moms taking the fresh approach and really making the effort to get their children to not only eat but enjoy healthy foods! The bentobox is also a brilliant item to have not only for kids, but for adults to take to work. Impressive work!

  5. My husband was diagnosed with MS in June of 2013. We are changing up his diet to get his body in the best possible condition to fight it. The kids and I are on board with him to make the adjustment together. This book looks like a great way to help us stay on the right track.Kellydpenn@yahoo.com
