my WORKOUT & what I EAT
Hey guys! Every Wednesday I will be posting a round up of my favorite workouts, what I’m eating and fitness gear on sale. I spend so much time in my workout clothes, whether I am going to gym classes or learning from personal trainers. I thought it would be fun to share all of this with you. It’s a big part of my life and I want to bring more of it to the blog. In fact I’m hoping to start teaching soon and getting back into the fitness world. I’d love to have a few clients and teach a few spin classes. My sister Kristen is a dietician and will be helping me with my diet and keeping me up on the best recipes. I mostly eat paleo style. I call it a modified paleo plan. Tons of protein, veggies, fruits, nuts, almond butter with a few whole grains. I limit processed foods and sugar. I have treats and have cheat meals so don’t get scared. I still want to indulge when I’m out with friends or at the movies with my husband (I must have popcorn & milkduds). But my point is that I live 80% eating healthy and 20% indulging on the things I love. In my 20’s I didn’t have to worry about it so much but I’m finding now in my 30’s I have to be consistent or else I feel terrible. I want to live a healthy lifestyle without yo-yoing. My motto during this journey is CONSISTENCY. I’d love for you to join in on my fitness journey and share your experiences or tips. I’ll break down my grocery lists, protein powders I use, snacks, family dinners, etc. Let me know what you want or need and I’ll be sure to do it. I’m obsessed with these NIKES and wear them in and out of the gym. Finally on sale!

follow circuit with 20 minutes on stair climber, your booty will thank you tomorrow
12 lunges each leg
12 squats
15 tricep dips on bench
bicep curls (holding 5-8lbs) with step ups

(what I ate today)
2 eggs with tomatoes and spinach , almond milk smoothie (almond butter, almond milk, 1/2 banana, 2 handfuls of spinach, 2 scoops protein powder), 1 Lara Bar, Chicken salad over greens with chunky guacamole and cauliflower rice. Salmon dinner below
I just found these protein bars and LOVE the coconut! Paleo approved
I made the best balsamic salmon last night for dinner with sweet potatoes and a big salad.
Salmon recipe
salmon fillet 8 oz
2 TB pure maple syrup
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1 teaspoon mustard
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1/4 cup olive oil
whisk the above ingredients together. place salmon on foil and turn oven to broil. brush salmon with balsamic mixture every 2-3 minutes. broil for 12-14 minutes

Vega protein powder is amazing. I also have a generic one from Costco that I love. And the hemp protein from Trader Joes is another great option. thanks for the comment! xx jenna
